The decision to pursue public office wasn’t made lightly. It comes from a commitment to service, lived experience, and knowing change is needed to improve systems that no longer serve our community.
~Candidate for Juvenile Court Clerk,
Patriece Minner
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 KJV
You can’t lead the people, if you don’t love the people; You can’t save the people, if you don’t serve the people. ~ Dr. Cornel West

Patriece Minner is a proud Memphis transplant who brought her small-town values from Missouri to the Bluff City in 2002. After falling in love with Memphis during childhood visits, she chose to build her life here—drawn to its history, hospitality, music, and culture.
From humble beginnings, Patriece is a lifelong public servant and career social worker committed to justice, equity, and community empowerment. Her work and volunteerism reflect a deep compassion for people and a steadfast dedication to service.
Through her professional experience, Patriece has seen firsthand how broken systems fail children, families, and marginalized communities. Rather than accept the status quo, as a change agent, Patriece has consistently stepped up to challenge injustice, its leadership, bureacracy, and advocate for meaningful change.
Her visionary leadership and backbone to stand up to corruption helped drive reform at the Juvenile Court of Memphis & Shelby County, where she is presently employed and has helped to expand diversion programs, protect juvenile rights, and create reforms that prioritize children and families; further, these efforts gave much needed relief to overworked and ignored staff at Juvenile Court. Guided by her Christian faith and a belief in People Over Politics, Patriece continues to serve Memphis with compassion, courage, and a commitment to integral change.
Patriece Minner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology: Criminal & Deviant Behavior from Southeast Missouri University. Patriece also obtained a Masters of Public Administration at Strayer University, Memphis campus.
Some affiliations are: National Alliance on Mental Illness, National Partnership of Juvenile Service, Shelby County Democrat Party, Memphis Outreach Ministry, and Democratic Women of Shelby County.
